About Me
I am Jaheim Anthony Harriott I am an aspiring 3D and visual effects artist in my second year of my university studies at the University Of Hertfordshire. I have an emphasis on houdini fx however I have learned skilled within all aspects of the visual effects industry pipeline through my universities curated modules which allowed me to gain practical skills and invaluable knowledge on softwareʼs such as Maya, Mari, Houdini, Nuke and substance painter
Relevant skills Core Competencies Hard-surface modelling with an emphasis on efficient topology, subdivision-ready geometry, and production-oriented asset construction. Houdini FLIP and particle simulations, including system setup, parameter tuning, and iterative refinement to achieve physically plausible behaviour.
Skills in Development Compositing workflows, focusing on multi-pass integration, colour pipeline awareness, and achieving cohesive CG-to-plate continuity. 3D integration with live-action footage, developing proficiency in spatial alignment, lighting replication, and render pass utilisation for seamless compositing. Texturing, expanding knowledge of physically based shading principles and material definition for realism in production contexts.
Areas for Further Growth Advanced fluid animation techniques, combining simulation accuracy with directed artistic control. Complex Houdini simulation networks, including layered FX, optimisation strategies, and scalable procedural setups. ZBrush modelling to build capability in high-resolution sculpting and hybrid hard-surface/organic workflows.
